أدلى جول كوندي بأولى تصريحاته بعد الانضمام رسميًا إلى صفوف برشلونة الإسباني، وكشف عن معنى احتفاله بالأهداف، ودور تشافي هيرنانديز مدرب البارسا في حسم الصفقة لصالح البلوجرانا.

وتوصل برشلونة لاتفاق مع إشبيلية للتعاقد مع كوندي، وحسم الصفقة لصالحه بعدما كان تشيلسي طرفًا في المفاوضات مع النادي الأندلسي.

وسلط اللاعب الفرنسي الضوء على أهمية تشافي هيرنانديز في حسم برشلونة للصفقة، فضلًا عن كونه طموحًا بعد تأكيد وصوله إلى كامب نو.

وقال كوندي في تصريحاته لوسائل الإعلام الرسمي لبرشلونة: “تشافي له دور كبير في وصولي إلى هنا، لقد تحدثت معه عدة مرات وأثارني خطابه كثيرًا”.

تابع كوندي: “أنا لاعب كرة قدم ديناميكي، ولدي الكثير من الطاقة، ولدي أيضًا قدرة جيدة على إخراج الكرة وأن أكون عدوانيًا للغاية، وفوق كل شيء، أنا لاعب كرة قدم يقدم كل ما لديه في الملعب”.

وشدد الفرنسي: “أريد أن أفوز بكل شيء، لدي أهداف بالطبع، لكني لا أضع حدودًا لنفسي، على المستوى الجماعي والفردي، أنمو بقدر الإمكان وأتعلم”.

وأكد كوندي: “أتيت إلى ناد عظيم مع لاعبين رائعين، سأستمع وأتعلم وأبذل أقصى ما في الأمر”.

كوندي كشف أيضًا أن احتفاله بالهدف هو إشارة إلى “بلاك مامبا” كوبي براينت، أحد قدواته: “أحب كرة السلة وخاصة كوبي براينت، الاحتفالية تكريم له”.

Australia wrapped up the series against South Africa in Durban last week but while Thursday’s third Test in Cape Town will not affect the series result, there are a host of players desperate to complete strong auditions ahead of the Ashes tour.The Newlands match is Australia’s last Test before the trip to England and men like Ben Hilfenhaus, Marcus North and Andrew McDonald will be keen to cap off their already positive performances with another impressive effort. Australia’s coach Tim Nielsen will spend the next few days pounding into his players the message that they must push for a 3-0 clean sweep.”It’s really important for us because this team is a young, new team so they’re setting their own standards a little bit and they’re putting their own footprint on the world of cricket,” Nielsen said. “It’s not like it’s the same guys who have been around for the past ten years and have done it all, all over the world.”These guys are doing it for the first time anywhere, so they’ve got an opportunity to set their own standards, to ensure that two Tests are only two-thirds of a three-Test series. Maybe that’s one of the nice things about having a young group. Every day they wake up they can’t wait to play for Australia.”While some of the new faces like Phillip Hughes have already cemented their spots for the foreseeable future, others like Hilfenhaus know that their fate rests partially in how the selectors treat veterans like Stuart Clark and Brett Lee, who missed the South Africa tour due to injury but will be ready for the Ashes. Lee has expressed his strong desire to return to the new-ball role as soon as possible and Nielsen said it was impossible to ignore Lee’s strong credentials.”Binga [Lee] is a 300 Test wicket bowler. We’ve only got four of them in Australian history. You don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater,” Nielsen said. “He had a pretty bad foot and ankle injury and has taken a fair while to get over it. There will be times in the future when this bowling group will be sore or tired and needs to miss a game through injury. The chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said that Newlands was a venue where a slow bowler was mostlikely to be of use but the decision would ultimately come down to conditions on the ground.Nathan Hauritz and the uncapped Bryce McGain have waited patiently throughout the tour, hoping for their opportunity, and if it does come in Cape Town it would mostly be at the expense of McDonald. Although it would be useful for Australia to give the legspinner McGain a taste of Test cricket before the Ashes, Nielsen said the selection would be purely based on the best side to win at Newlands.”If we play Bryce it will be because he fits into our squad the best,” Nielsen said. “If we start taking a ‘let’s see how he goes’ attitude it really does become a dead rubber for us. We will do the very best we can to pick the side that we think is best for these conditions,the spinners will definitely come into play for that.”Australia’s players had a four-day break in Cape Town following the second Test because their wives and girlfriends joined the group. Safari trips and holiday activities have now given way to training and the players were to hit the nets for their first full practice session on Monday. The squad has been trimmed with the cover fast bowler Steve Magoffin having returned home to Western Australia as the team’s injury worries subsided.

عانى الفرنسي من هذه المشكلة خلال جلسة تدريبية أثناء وجوده في الولايات المتحدة مع يوفنتوس، وكشفت الاختبارات أنه تعرض لإصابة في الغضروف المفصلي في ركبته اليمنى.

ومر أسبوع حتى الآن ولم يتم اتخاذ أي قرار بشأن وضع بوجبا وإمكانية خضوعه لجراحة. 

وسيسافر بوجبا إلى ليون للقاء البروفيسور سونيري كوتيت غدًا بعد إصابة في الركبة مؤخرًا، والتي قد تجعله يغيب عن كأس العالم المقبلة.

ووفقًا لما أورده موقع “كالتشيو ميركاتو” الإيطالي سيقيم البروفيسور ركبة بوجبا ويرى ما إذا كان بحاجة إلى الخضوع لعملية جراحية أم لا.

Southampton are still without a win in their 2021/22 Premier League campaign after falling to a 3-1 defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

It was a lively affair in west London with goals from Trevor Chalobah, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell securing the three points for the home side.

It was also a rather mixed day for Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse who managed to score from the penalty spot before picking up a red card in the second half.

Whilst a number of Southampton players failed to step up to the mark against Thomas Tuchel’s side, we feel that Nathan Tella, in particular, let Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl down.

Since making his senior debut for Southampton back in June 2020, Tella has gone on to make 27 appearances for the Saints in which he has managed to score two goals and provide three assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Prior to the Chelsea clash, Tella’s only appearance in the Premier League came in Southampton’s opening game of the season where he played ten minutes of their 3-1 defeat against Everton.

After being given the chance to start against Chelsea to see if he could help the Saints pick up their first win of the season, it’s safe to say Tella could have done better during a rare start.

The youngster was one of a few players to actually get at his man and look to make things happen, but ultimately, he was lapse in possession and lacking in his end product as the Saints rarely troubled Chelsea.

Before being taken off in the 73rd minute and replaced by Moussa Djenepo, the 22-year-old winger, who is currently earning a weekly wage of £12.5k-per-week according to Spotrac, failed to have a shot at goal, lost possession on 21 occasions and only made six successful passes (as per SofaScore).

In both of those final two departments, they were comfortably the worst tallies of all 22 players to start the game at Stamford Bridge.

Taking this into account, it’s easy to see why Tella hadn’t made an appearance in the league since the Everton defeat. However, perhaps it could be argued that his lack of game time and the strength of the opposition in Chelsea didn’t work in Tella’s favour.

Moving forward, it would be hard to see Hasenhuttl sticking with Tella and keeping him in the starting XI for their next league fixture against Leeds United later this month, in our view, based on what he showed on the pitch against Chelsea.

Stuart Law, the former Lancashire captain who was released from the county for his ICL links, has been signed up by Derbyshire for their limited-overs matches in the 2009 season. Derbyshire fared poorly in such matches last year – finishing second to last in the Pro40 Division 2 and the Twenty20 Cup – and will be banking on Law’s experience to improve their record this season.In 2008 Law scored 192 runs at a strike-rate of 123.07 from ten Twenty20 innings but played only three Pro40 games for Lancashire. But his overall List A figures for Lancashire include 23 half-centuries and one hundred from 99 matches.Derbyshire’s head of cricket John Morris expected Law’s experience to have a positive influence on his new team-mates. “With over two decades of first-class and limited-overs experience, playing in Australia and England, he has knowledge of how to perform in all situations and in all conditions,” Morris said. “The best part about it is that he is very keen to come and play for us and is excited about playing a part in what we want to achieve in one-day cricket.”Law was happy to join the side and said he was looking forward to helping out the younger members of the squad. “I still have the hunger and drive to succeed at this level and I can’t wait to join the side and get stuck into the new and exciting challenge ahead,” Law said. “Doing well personally isn’t the be all and end all, as long as the team achieves its goals and takes positive steps.”

Everton have produced several impressive exciting homegrown talents during the Premier League era, and the next future star could be set come off their productive conveyor belt.

The likes of Wayne Rooney, Ross Barkley and Tom Davies have all established themselves as top-flight stars down the years, but the best could still be to come from the Toffees talent factory.

Every year, The Guardian newspaper publishes their Next Generation list where they profile the next crop of talent rising through the ranks at Premier League sides. And named amongst the division’s current crop of wonderkids was Everton’s very own Jenson Metcalfe.

At just 17 years old, the defensive midfielder has already caught the eye with several intelligent performances at the base of the engine room for the Merseyside outfits youth sides, earning the praise of many impressed onlookers.

Describing the teenage prodigy, The Guardian’s Andy Hunter wrote: “A real competitor with an outstanding passing range, the Wigan-born midfielder joined Everton at under-5 level and recently signed his first professional contract with the club days after his 17th birthday.

“Metcalfe can play off both feet, has impressive technical ability and is a dead-ball specialist. He can also score a variety of goals and intercepts or regains possession with fierce intensity.”

During the 2020/21 campaign, Metcalfe made 13 competitive appearances from Everton’s U18s and U23s, scoring two goals along the way.

And it’s clear where the youngster sees his game developing over the coming years. When describing his style of play, he said: “I see myself as a tempo-setter, so I look up to Sergio Busquets. He’s so relaxed on the ball.”

With current holding midfielder Allan set to turn 31 in January, Metcalfe could well be the Brazilian’s natural heir, and the club’s supporters have every reason to be excited about his future prospects.

Only time will tell if new manager Rafael Benitez can unearth Everton’s next homegrown hero, although if he continues progressing at his current rate, then it is surely a matter of when rather than if Metcalfe will be involved in his first-team plans.

A reapresentação do São Paulo nesta segunda-feira teve o atacante Brenner e o lateral-esquerdo Júnior Tavares como novidades. Os dois participaram das atividades com movimentações ofensivas comandadas pelo técnico Dorival Júniorno primeiro treinamento após a vitória de virada por 4 a 3 sobre o Botafogo, no sábado.

Brenner foi reintegrado ao elenco principal depois de passar a última semana com o time sub-17, pelo qual foi artilheiro e conquistou a Taça BH da categoria, fazendo dois gols e dando assistência na vitória por 3 a 1 sobre o Flamengo, na final. Nesta tarde, realizou sua primeira atividade com Dorival depois do título, vencido na última quinta-feira, em Minas Gerais.

Júnior Tavares, por sua vez, parece recuperado das dores por conta de um edema na coxa direita. Porém, na metade da atividade, o lateral-esquerdo deixou o campo. Segundo o médico Auro Rayel, que o atendeu, sua situação pouco mudou, mas não preocupa, por ser apenas um desconforto.

Na atividade, Dorival Júnior dividiu o grupo em dois e testou movimentações ofensivas, organizando a saída de bola e pedindo jogadas pelas pontas, estimulando cruzamentos. Era um treino de ataque contra defesa, mas com contra-ataque dos dois lados.

Quem foi titular diante do Botafogo, no sábado, trabalhou normalmente e foram liberados somente da última parte do treino, quando Dorival e seus auxiliares comandaram um treino técnico, em campo reduzido, permitindo que os reservas dessem, no máximo, dois toques na bola.

O técnico ainda não deu nenhum sinal de mudança na escalação, mas, nesta segunda, não pôde contar com Wellington Nem, que fez tratamento por pancada que recebeu no joelho direito no sábado. O atacante será reavaliado para saber se tem condições de ser relacionado contra o Coritiba, na quinta-feira, no Morumbi.

Despite having an average squad age of 26, Southampton have a handful of players who are in and around the twilight years of their careers.

One of those is 30-year-old midfielder Oriol Romeu, who signed for the club back in 2015 from fellow Chelsea for an undisclosed fee.

Since then, the Spaniard has made a total of 221 appearances for the Saints prior to their Premier League clash against Burnley this afternoon, scoring six goals and providing four assists in the process.

With the midfielder’s current contract at St Mary’s set to expire in 2023, we feel there’s a chance that Romeu could leave the club by that point, but we also believe that the Saints could already have an ideal replacement for him if he does leave.

That man is 18-year-old Ryan Finnigan, who has been described as an “excellent” player by the club’s academy director Matt Hale. A product of Southampton’s youth system, he has made 15 appearances for their under-18 side, scoring one goal, with one assist in seven games for the Saints’ B team.

Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is apparently a big fan of Finnigan, who has made one senior appearance for Southampton, which came during their 2-0 win over Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup back in January.

Moving forward, if the teenager can continue developing in Southampton’s youth sides and make the most out of any future opportunities he gets in the first team, we think he could well go on to become a regular for them in the future as a potential long-term replacement for Romeu. That might save the club millions of pounds in potential transfer fees trying to sign a new midfielder, as well as seeing him join a long list of players to come out of the club’s youth academy to go on and have big careers in the Premier League.
