أعلنت رابطة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز تغيير مواعيد ثلاثة من مباريات فريق ليفربول المقررة شهر مارس، في إطار منافسات البطولة.

وحسب الموقع الرسمي للبطولة، فإن ليفربول سيواجه وست هام يوم السبت 5 مارس القادم في تمام الساعة السابعة والنصف مساءً بتوقيت القاهرة.

بينما سيلتقي ليفربول مع برايتون يوم السبت 12 مارس في تمام الساعة الثانية والنصف ظهرًا بتوقيت القاهرة.

أما مباراة ليفربول أمام مانشستر يونايتد فستكون يوم الأحد 20 مارس، في تمام الساعة السادسة والنصف مساءً بتوقيت القاهرة.

ويحتل ليفربول حاليًا المركز الثاني في جدول الدوري الإنجليزي برصيد 48 نقطة، ولديه مباراة مؤجلة ضد ليدز يونايتد.

David Moyes will hope to see West Ham United get back to winning ways against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night, but will have to do so without Declan Rice.

The midfielder has been ruled out of the Irons’ trip to Molineux with a knee injury sustained during England’s win over Poland last week, and faces four to six weeks in the treatment room.

Mark Noble will be expected to start in place of Rice as the only central midfield cover available to Moyes, as West Ham go in search of a first away win over Wolves since August 2009.

Noble is unlikely to be the sole change from the side that let slip a three-goal lead over Arsenal last month. So, with that in mind, here’s a potential line-up that Moyes may field…

West Ham are winless in their last two Premier League games after allowing Arsenal to come from three down to snatch a point last time out, but beat Wolves 4-0 at the London Stadium back in September.

Wolves have struggled for consistency all season and will host the Irons after two draws and two defeats in their last four top-flight fixtures. But Nuno Espirito Santo will likely hope that Noble starting in place of Rice will now aid their efforts for a first win since February.

Noble has only started four Premier League games thus far this term, which have seen his east London outfit draw once and lose three times – most recently against Manchester United when overran in the engine room by the likes of Mason Greenwood.

Along with Rice, Moyes will be without Angelo Ogbonna and Andriy Yarmolenko at Molineux, but is expected to have Arthur Masuaku back in his matchday squad for the first time since December following knee surgery.

“Arthur is back playing. He played a reserve game a week or so ago, so he’s back around the squad, but whether he is fully match-fit yet, we have to question it,” Moyes said on Friday.

“Yarmolenko is not ready yet. He went to see a specialist about his medial knee ligament injury again which we don’t think is too bad, but we’re not quite convinced with it.

“Angelo Ogbonna is making good progress but he’s not ready at this moment in time, so we’ve got a few knocks and niggles like everybody else, but we’ve also got a few players getting closer to returning to match fitness as well.”

One player who Moyes could unleash against Wolves that was unavailable at home to Arsenal is Pablo Fornals, as the £16m-rated Spaniard is said to have overcome a groin injury and has been touted to replace Said Benrahma in the starting line-up.

Fornals had started his last three Premier League appearances and assisted Jesse Lingard’s game-winning goal at home to Tottenham Hotspur in February, while Benrahma remains without a goal for West Ham across all competitions.

Michail Antonio, Lingard and Jarrod Bowen would each expect to start in attack alongside Fornals if Benrahma is axed, while Tomas Soucek will line up alongside Noble in midfield.

Ogbonna’s continued absence will likely see Moyes name an unchanged backline of Aaron Cresswell, Issa Diop, Craig Dawson and Vladimir Coufal in front of Lukasz Fabianski in goal.

Some Liverpool fans have laughed off suggestions that Liverpool will look to sign Barcelona youngster Pedri.

Jurgen Klopp will likely be looking to bring in new signings in the summer transfer window in order to add a freshness to his squad.

At times this season, Liverpool have looked jaded both physically and mentally, highlighting the need for new faces to arrive in the coming months.

The Reds’ attack has been particularly lifeless at times in 2020/21, with Mohamed Salah being relied upon too much and Diogo Jota a huge miss through injury.

While Liverpool’s midfield is well-stocked and the least of Klopp’s worries, that hasn’t stopped them being linked with an exciting player in that part of the pitch.

According to The Mirror, Barcelona are looking to fend off interest from the Reds in Pedri, with the 18-year-old a hugely talented prospect. The midfielder has a £70m release clause in his current contract, but the La Liga giants want to increase that to a whopping £350m in a new deal.

With reports linking Leeds with a move for Romain Perraud, Marcelo Bielsa now has the perfect chance to wave goodbye to Gjanni Alioski.

The Athletic’s Phil Hay first revealed a couple of months ago that the Whites are eyeing up a summer move for the Stade Brest left-back, and now, The Daily Mail have confirmed Leeds’ interest, adding that they are set to face competition from the likes of Lyon and Marseille.

By signing the 23-year-old, Leeds could finally offload Alioski and start a new chapter at Elland Road.

Reports in recent weeks have suggested that the Leeds ace is set to depart the club in the summer when his contract expires, with Turkish giants Galatasaray apparently reaching a pre-contract deal with him.

Speaking after the 0-0 draw against Chelsea a few weeks ago, former Leeds ace Noel Whelan took aim at the £3.6m-rated Alioski for his defending and urged Bielsa to go after a new left-back in the summer.

The 46-year-old said: “Leeds need a natural full-back there that you know can cover most bases, definitely defensively because as much as he gives everything, he is a liability. He’s not the best of defenders.

“I think that’s why you could see a lot going down that left-hand side, really targeting Alioski and you saw that frailty there at times.”

In Perraud, not only would they be getting a solid defender, but someone who really comes into his own going forward and providing his team with a vital attacking outlet.

Writing a profile piece for The Athletic, Hay noted: “Perraud, 23, played for France up to under-20s level and his performance data — taken from smarterscout, which gives detailed analytics on players all over the world and gives ratings between zero and 99 across a series of metrics — shows characteristics which would meet Bielsa requirements: a creative edge and a high number of dribbles and shots for a player at his position, combined with a very active role in pressing defensively.”

As per Whoscored, Perraud outshines Alioski in virtually all the key categories both offensively and defensively, averaging more interceptions, key passes, shots, dribbles and crosses, while also being dribbled half the amount of times as the Leeds man.

The £7.2m-rated Perraud is just a major upgrade on Alioski, and being significantly younger too, would be fancied to develop into a more well-rounded full-back as the years go by.

Quando Léo decidiu encerrar sua vitoriosa carreira em abril de 2014, parecia que o ciclo ainda não havia sido fechado na grande trajetória que construiu dentro do clube. O amistoso desse sábado, contra o Benfica, era o que faltava. Santos e um de seus ídolos finalmente escreveram o capítulo derradeiro de sua história dentro de campo, mas fora dele a relação continua.

– Eu fiquei andando ali, já não tinha mais ninguém. Passa um filme do que você viveu, vitórias derrotas, conquistas, frustrações. Sensação de dever cumprido, e agora com a cabeça mais tranquila, leve, saber que você deixou um legado. Agora é trabalhar fora de campo para tentar retribuir fora de campo tudo o que o Santos me deu – disse o ídolo agradecido.

A saída de Léo do Peixe, há pouco mais de dois anos não foi das mais amistosas. Sem renovar o contrato com o clube, optou por parar de jogar e não vestir a camisa de outra agremiação. À época, o ex-jogador chegou a criticar a maneira com que a situação foi tratada, mas hoje, amadurecido, vê como algo positivo.

– Se fosse há dois anos eu diria que fui forçado. Vocês sabem de tudo o que aconteceu. Mas hoje, mais maduro, vejo que há males que vem para o bem. Foi pancada bem dura naquela ocasião, de pessoas que eu pensava que estavam do meu lado. Mas a vida ensina. De onde eu poderia esperar algo tão maravilhosa que é jogar com um ídolo meu dentro da minha casa, com uma torcida maravilhosa – avaliou.

Ao ser perguntado sobre o momento mais especial de suas passagens pelo Santos, Léo não conseguiu apontar apenas um e classificou cada minuto de sua história com o Peixe de essencial importância, com o agravante de ser sua ‘segunda casa’.

– Momento mais especial? Desde a minha chegada. Tive identificação muito grande com esse clube, sempre fui preso a esse clube. Quando voltei, estava acertado com outro clube, abri mão de tudo para vir para cá. Me sinto em casa, tenho prazer em estar. É minha segunda casa – finalizou.

Porém, o árbitro Sandro Meira Ricci validou o gol logo depois. A decisão gerou discórdia. Houve confusão no gramado até que o lance fosse novamente anulado.

Paul Robinson has suggested Celtic could made another move for Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster in the summer.

Forster spent last term on loan at Parkhead from the Saints, and has made 236 appearances for the Scottish side across a number of spells throughout his career (Transfermarkt).

Speaking to Football Insider, Robinson has suggested the Bhoys could make another move for the £3.6m-valued 33-year-old (Transfermarkt). He said:

“I worry because the pressure will be even greater next season when the fans are back in. As for Barkas, his future will be dependant on what manager comes in though.

“Celtic missed a trick by not re-signing Fraser Forster. He was amazing up there last season. I think he is a top goalkeeper.

“I am surprised as to why he stayed at Southampton. Maybe they will try again to sign him in the summer because it is a position they will need to strengthen in.

“If I was a new manager going in there I would be looking to sign a new number one.”

Role to play

Forster has had to spend much of the campaign at St. Mary’s Stadium as back-up to Alex McCarthy. However, in the 10 matches he has played in all competitions, he has kept six clean sheets. The Saints are through to the semi-finals of the F.A Cup without having conceded a goal in the competition, and Forster has played in all of those games so far.

McCarthy has come under fire at times this term after a number of mistakes – perhaps Forster may have a chance to stake a claim as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s number one next season. As such, he may be better staying at Southampton than returning to Celtic once more.
