Diego Souza chegou em Recife com direito a festa da torcida do Sport no aeroporto. O meia desembarcou na cidade na madrugada desta quarta-feira e foi recepcionado por uma grande número de leoninos. O jogador, que apareceu no saguão do local com uma camisa da campanha de sócios torcedores do Sport, não escondeu a felicidade de retornar ao clube e disse que está voltando para casa.

– Estou feliz. Meu desejo era de voltar e reencontrar essa torcida. Esse grito. É muito gratificante. Estou muito feliz. Tenho certeza que o carinho da torcida por mim é grande. E eu estou, também, de braços abertos para recebe-los. Eu estou de volta pra casa – disse o jogador ao Superesportes.

A expectativa do Sport é que Diego Souza seja regularizado na próxima sexta-feira. Ele não poderá jogar o Campeonato Pernambucano, porque as inscrições se encerraram. Ele só vai poder atuar na Copa do Nordeste. Isso se o Leão passar pelo Botafogo-PB e avance para as quartas de final.

De acordo com o Superesportes, o Sport adquiriu 100% dos direitos federativos de Diego Souza, que deixou o Fluminense. O Leão teria se comprometido a dar uma compensação financeira ao Tricolor, que pagou cerca de R$ 2,4 milhões pelo meia junto ao Metalist, da Ucrânia. No entanto, o valor pago pelo Rubro-Negro será menor e quitado em duas parcelas.

Manchester United have made it clear that one of their transfer priorities is to sign a centre-back in the summer.

It is no surprise, then, that the Red Devils have consequently been linked with a number of Europe’s most promising centre-backs – the latest name in the frame being AS Roma’s Gianluca Mancini.

According to the Daily Express, Manchester United and Premier League rivals Chelsea are interested in making a move for the 24-year-old – and the Italian would be the perfect partner for current United defender Harry Maguire at Old Trafford.

Mancini has certainly had a stark rise in Italian football in recent seasons. Starting his career at Fiorentina, he has also represented Perugia and Atalanta before earning his big move to the Stadio Olimpico. That should stand him in excellent stead should a move to Manchester come to fruition.

Since his arrival in the Italian capital, he has played a key role in their 2020/21 season under Paulo Fonseca, making 23 appearances in Serie A and scoring four goals, as well as keeping seven clean sheets.

When looking at his personal statistics, Mancini seems even more impressive. According to WhoScored, the £22.5m-rated defender is averaging 6.3 defensive contributions per match in all competitions this season – 1.7 tackles, 2.1 interceptions, 2.1 clearances and 0.4 blocks.

This ranks the Italian higher than current Red Devils defender and the man he would likely replace in the starting lineup, Victor Lindelof, who only averages 5.7 defensive interventions per match. His numbers are also just marginally lower than the statistics racked up by Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly this season; 6.8 and 6.4 respectively.

Should Ole Gunnaer Solskjaer elect to bring in a centre-back during the upcoming summer transfer window, the evidence all points to that man being Mancini, a move the club should very much pursue.

أكد عامر حسين رئيس لجنة المسابقات برابطة الأندية، أن نظام بطولة كأس الرابطة سيتغير في الموسم المُقبل، لافتا إلى أن إقامتها بنظامها الحالي أمر استثنائي.

وأعلنت رابطة الأندية في وقت سابق، أن نظام البطولة هو تقسيم الـ 18 ناديًا على 3 مجموعات، على رأس كل منها الأهلي والزمالك وبيراميدز، وسيتم لعبها في فترة توقف الدوري بسبب الأجندة الدولية.

وقال عامر حسين في تصريحات خاصة لـ”بطولات”: “كأس الرابطة في النسخة المُقبلة سيقام بنظام خروج المغلوب وليس مجموعات مثل النسخة الحالية”.

وأوضح: “النسخة الحالية تقام خلال وقت توقف طويل لإقامة بطولة كأس الأمم الإفريقية، لكن النسخة المُقبلة لن تكون هناك أمم إفريقيا وبالتالي فلا يوجد وقت كبير لإقامة المباريات؛ ولذلك تقام بنظام خروج المغلوب حتى تستهلك وقتًا أقل”.

ومن المقرر أن يتم سحب قرعة بطولة كأس الرابطة، اليوم الإثنين، في أحد فنادق القاهرة، بحضور ممثلي الـ18 ناديًا في الدوري المصري الممتاز.

Após o jogo, o atacante postou uma foto celebrando o triunfo no clássico, disputado na Arena Independência, e foi ofendido em alguns comentários, que foram logo apagados:”vc imitou uma galinha, mas parecia um urubu, seu tisiu. (…) Nego filha da puta. (…) vai se fuder seu fila da puta…Ele pode até me processar, pago ele tudo em banana. (SIC)”.

De acordo com a assessoria do Cruzeiro, Rafael Silva não se manifestará sobre o caso, e ainda não decidiu se acionará a Justiça. O clube, por sua vez, já colocou seu departamento jurídico à disposição. As informações são do “Superesportes”.

Newcastle United reportedly face competition from other clubs in the Premier League to sign Jan Kuchta, according to Football Insider.

As per the news outlet, the St. James’ Park faithful as well as West Ham United, Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion watched the Slavia Prague ace in their 1-1 draw at home to Rangers in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.

The North East club should be looking to sign Kuchta in the summer transfer window and thus beat off all competition from their rivals for his signature.

The 24-year-old has no fewer than 20 goal contributions already so far in the 2020/21 term, with 13 goals and a further seven assists in total in just 25 games over all competitions (Transfermarkt).

With a six-foot frame as well, he should have no problems adapting to the physical demands of the top flight, and can take immense encouragement from just how well both Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal have done at the Hammers having come from the same club as him.

Nonetheless, Kuchta is certainly a striker that the Tyneside club should be keeping an eye on, as he is more than capable of easing off the goal scoring burden off of Callum Wilson.

كشفت تقارير صحفية برازيلية، أن نادي برشلونة الإسباني يرغب في التعاقد مع لاعب شينجهاي الصيني الدولي البرازيلي أوسكار إمبوبا.

وأعلن آرسنال أمس تقدمه بطلب لرابطة الدوري الإنجليزي من أجل تأجيل تلك المباراة، لعدم وجود عدد كاف من اللاعبين نتيجة غياب البعض بسبب فيروس كورونا أو إصابات عضلية، إلى جانب المشاركين في كأس أمم إفريقيا.

وذكرت شبكة “سكاي سبورتس” العالمية أن رابطة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز ستتخذ قرارها بشأن إمكانية تأجيل مباراة توتنهام وآرسنال من عدمه، اليوم السبت.

وأوضحت أن مصادر داخل توتنهام أكدت أن إدارة النادي اللندني غاضبة من فكرة إمكانية تأجيل تلك المباراة حيث أنها تعتقد بعدم وجود تفشي لفيروس كورونا في ملعب الإمارات.

ومع ذلك، في وقت سابق من الأسبوع الماضي، تأجلت مباراة ليستر سيتي وإيفرتون للمرة الثانية بسبب عدم وجود عدد كاف من اللاعبين لدى الثعالب، وهو نفس سبب آرسنال.

Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie has called for Trezeguet and Anwar El Ghazi to deliver more in an exclusive interview with Football FanCast.

Villa have been without leading man Jack Grealish in recent weeks and it has impacted them. In his absence, they have won just one of their last five matches and have scored just three goals in that period.

Evidently, manager Dean Smith needs a bit more from his attacking players, and Hendrie has put the spotlight on both £8.75m man Trezeguet and the £8m El Ghazi, calling for the duo to step up.

Discussing the two wide men, the ex-Villa star told FFC:

“There has to be a balance. You’ve got to have that work ethic, but you’ve also got to have that creativity and that’s where I feel that Trezeguet just falls short. It’s great when you’re away from home and, you know, you need to get bodies behind the ball and work hard. He does the ugly side of the game well, but I’d like to see him doing a little bit more going the other way.”

Regarding El Ghazi, Hendrie said:

“He is very inconsistent at times. He comes on and he looks an absolute threat, he looks a goal threat, he looks hungry for scoring goals. But I think the way Villa play, sometimes I think you need a bit of a balance. He doesn’t always have to come inside and take them shots on, he’s got to be looking to maybe slip [Ollie] Watkins through.”

Trezeguet scored six goals in the Premier League last season but is yet to find the back of the net in the current campaign. As for El Ghazi, the 25-year-old has actually bettered his record from last term.

He has registered six strikes, two more than his entire league total from 2019/20, showing that the Dutch winger can produce moments of quality. However, only one of those goals came in the absence of Grealish, the 1-0 win over Leeds.

Undoubtedly, Villa’s attack is lacking at times, especially when their captain is unavailable, perhaps giving Smith something to think about ahead of the summer transfer window.
