Thanks to goals from Odsonne Edouard and Diego Laxalt, Celtic managed to scrape a point from their recent meeting with Hibernian in the Premiership. The former’s penalty pulled a goal back when the home side were 2-0 up, but the left-back popped up with a last gasp goal to split the spoils.

However, a draw isn’t good enough for the Hoops. As it stands, they trail to Rangers by eight points and Steven Gerrard’s side are still to play Aberdeen this weekend. Celtic’s inconsistent run of form only continues to suggest that they will lose out on the title this season.

A lot of Neil Lennon’s players were poor on Saturday, with Scott Brown receiving some personal criticism from his manager, but one man who had a surprisingly lacklustre game was Mohamed Elyounoussi.

The Southampton loanee has been one of Celtic’s best performers this campaign. He has been unstoppable in front of goal and a real thorn in the side of oppositions defenders, tallying ten goals and four assists across all competitions so far and pulling the Bhoys through some tough fixtures.

But Hibernian on the road just wasn’t his day. According to Sofascore, the 26-year-old only managed to complete 21 passes before he was hauled off the pitch after 72 minutes. Elyounoussi struggled to find his usual attacking form and lost the ball 21 times as well as failing to complete 58% of his attempted duels.

Additionally, he was unable to muster up a single shot on target or key pass. He looked a shadow of his usual fiery self and whilst it might just be a blip on the radar, it won’t be helping Lennon’s nerves. There’s been a lot of talk over whether the Northern Irishman will be given the sack from the club.

Chris Sutton thinks that whilst dismissing Lennon after the Hibs draw would be too rash, the decision could be coming if the Bhoys continue to struggle in Europe.

This is where the boss will need key players like Elyounoussi to step up their game. Not just to give Celtic a better chance at winning the league, but giving Lennon a better chance to keep himself in a job.

He was wasteful in possession, losing the ball a whopping 25 times from his 58 touches, which was the second-highest amount from any visiting player, as per SofaScore.

Davies was also rather lightweight, winning just 42% of his seven battles while the 27-year-old could only make 59% of his passes too, so it was certainly a shocking night for the defender valued at €20m (£18m).

It’s made even worse by the fact that he was trusted by Mourinho with the captaincy and that display is certainly going to make the Spurs boss think twice before doing that again – should both Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane be absent together in the future.

Dan Kilpatrick at the Evening Standard was particularly scathing in his review of Davies’ performance, grading him a 5/10 before claiming: “The captain for the night was poor in possession and failed to offer any real thrust from left-back. Beaten too easily in the build-up to the third goal.”

The £65k-per-week star also failed to register a single tackle, interception or block and was dribbled past once.

Even with Sergio Reguilon missing tonight, it would be a surprise to see Davies in the starting XI to face Arsenal on Sunday. At least he certainly doesn’t deserve too after this disasterclass.

ونجح بيراميدز في الفوز على نظيره إيسترن كومباني بثلاثية دون رد، في المباراة التي جمعتهما اليوم على ملعب الدفاع الجوي، ضمن منافسات الجولة الخامسة من الدوري المصري.

وأشار إلى أنه لم يكن يتوقع تحفظ إيسترن كومباني الكبير مع بداية المباراة، موضحًا أن أي لاعب في الفريق مهم بالنسبة له، وهو سعيد للغاية بـ رمضان صبحي وما يقدمه وهو لاعب مهم جدًا ووجوده يساعد الفريق في تحقيق أهدافه المستقبلية والمنافسة على لقب الدوري حتى اللحظة الأخيرة.

Having seen their game against Newcastle postponed last week, Aston Villa finally make their return to Premier League action when they travel to Wolves for the Saturday lunch-time kick-off.

Dean Smith’s side have had to stew on back-to-back defeats for the past couple of weeks, and will no doubt be itching to put things straight. Villa have got a couple of games in hand on the sides above them in the table, and a win against Wolves would go a long way to regaining the impressive momentum they had built up in the early weeks of the season.

Below is a look at just how Villa might line up for the clash on Saturday.

As has been the case all season, Smith is likely to stick to a tried-and-trusted back-line of Emiliano Martinez in goal, and the likes of Matty Cash, Ezri Konsa, Tyrone Mings and Matt Targett in front of him.

Douglas Luiz and John McGinn are also likely to retain their places in midfield, but with Ross Barkley still not back to full fitness after picking up a hamstring injury in the game against Brighton, Conor Hourihane may finally come out of the shadows to play, armed with his “weapon” of dangerous set-pieces.

That could see talisman Jack Grealish keep his place on the left, whilst Smith may also want to tread cautiously over Trezeguet’s fitness given the Egyptian’s injury trouble in recent weeks – that could see summer signing Bertrand Traore start on the right.

And up top, Ollie Watkins will look to keep up his excellent start to life at Villa Park.

تقرر عقب ذلك استئناف المباراة بعد القبض على الفاعل، واعتبار إصابة باييت حادثة منفردة متعلقة بالفاعل.

ثم قرر الحكم التوجه لرؤية باييه والاطمئنان على حالته، وغادر فريق ليون الملعب بعد الإحماء.

والآن أعلن مارسيليا عبر حسابه الرسمي على “تويتر” أن المباراة لن تستأنف، وهو ما أكده ليون أيضًا عبر تغريدة على حسابه الرسمي، مشيرًا إلى أن الحكم قرر عدم استئناف المباراة وتم تأجيلها.
