Crystal Palace have been linked with winger Ismaila Sarr throughout the transfer window. With today being the domestic transfer deadline day, it looks like the clock may be up on a potential move.

Sarr had not just attracted attention from the Eagles, but also from Liverpool as well. However, new light shed on Friday suggests that the player will be staying put until January at least.

The latest transfer update on Palace target Sarr

According to Adam Leventhal from the Athletic, the Watford winger is expected to stay at club beyond today’s 5pm domestic deadline.

The journalist is also reporting that the 22 year-old is involved in the plan against Derby County this evening and he is expected to play some part. This situation unlikely to change even with a late bid.

Is this a big blow for Palace?

The Senegalese attacker signed for Watford in August 2019, and impressed as he made 28 Premier League appearances last season. He managed five goals and four assists, per WhoScored, and also managed 1.6 shots and 1.7 successful dribbles per game.

To hit the ground running in England at such a young age makes him look like a special player and suggests that he has a lot of potential. Therefore, it will be gutting for supporters of the club to hear that it looks like they will not be making a move for the winger.

Liverpool superstar Sadio Mane hailed Sarr when the youngster signed for Watford, saying: “I’m really happy for him and he made the right choice to come to Watford. For sure I think he will be great.”

That said, he was being valued at around £30 million, so it could be seen as a lot of money for a player with few appearances in England’s top flight. One would have to think Roy Hodgson has enough talent at his disposal, providing none of his attacking players suffer long-term injuries.

It would have been nice if the club could have got him, but with signings like Eberechi Eze and Michy Batshuayi, the South London side cannot complain about their depth and quality in attack, something which could not be said in previous years.

وقال رئيس برشلونة في تصريحات نقلتها شبكة “كواترو” الإسبانية: “لا يمكن أن يحدث هذا الأمر مرة أخرى”.

خلال الحوار مع الصحفيين، رفض لابورتا الإجابة على أي أسئلة أخرى خاصة بمستقبل كومان أو غيره خاصة مع دعمه الكامل للمدرب بعد أحداث الأحد المؤسفة.

وضحت شبكة “سكاي سبورتس” الموقف داخل نادي مانشستر يونايتد بشأن إقالة المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم، أولي جونار سولشاير، بعد الهزيمة المُذلة أمام ليفربول بنتيجة 0-5 في بطولة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

وخرجت بعض التقارير في الساعات الماضية أن إدارة مانشستر يونايتد تفكر في إقالة سولشاير وهناك أكثر من مدرب قد يقود الفريق في الفترة المقبلة وعلى رأسهم، أنطونيو كونتي، لكن لم تكن هناك محادثات رسمية مع الإيطالي.

ترى الإدارة في مانشستر يونايتد أن تركيز سولشاير سينصب على تحسين النتائج بعد الحصول على نقطة واحدة من آخر 4 مباريات في الدوري الإنجليزي.

Wilfried Zaha stole the show in style as Crystal Palace cruised to a 2-1 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

Zaha, 27, scored a goal and supplied an assist as Roy Hodgson marked his triumphant return to his former club.

Palace took the lead almost immediately after Zaha slipped a sublime pass for Jairo Riedewald to open the scoring with a clinical finish inside the post.

Scott Parker’s side nearly bounced back but Ademola Lookman hit the woodwork twice, before Michy Batshuayi picked out Zaha with a pass for a simple tap-in by the back post to secure the victory.

The 17-cap Ivory Coast international, who earns wages worth £130,000-per-week and was once labelled a “genius” by Ian Holloway, has now scored five goals in his past six Premier League games for Palace, which is more than he managed in the entire league campaign last season.

SofaScore gave him a high grade of 8.8 –  he took three shots on target, completed seven out of eight dribble attempts (87%), and won nine out of fifteen ground duels (60%), whilst he created two big chances, took 51 touches of the ball, and was fouled twice. If you look at his heatmap, you can see a hub of activity in the opposing half, particularly on the left-hand side of the box, which suggests that he continued to cause the Cottagers all sorts of problems by cutting in from the left wing.

Sky Sports rated him at 9/10, whilst football.london went one lower, insisting he “was a constant threat in the first half, back to his best and got a deserved goal in the second half, tapping home from close range despite a collision with the post.”

Palace have had a promising start to the season, including an incredible 3-1 win away at Manchester United, as he scored twice against his former club. However, their performances had taken a turn for the worse in recent weeks, with consecutive defeats to Everton and Chelsea before the international break.

With that being said, Hodgson’s side seem to have discovered a resurgence in form, as Zaha put in another impressive performance. One thing’s for sure, they will need him to be at his very best if they are to avoid the relegation battle this season. The Palace boss must keep his most prized possession at all costs, despite growing concerns over his commitment to the club.

After guiding the Saints to a 4-3 win over Villa on Sunday, the skipper has made club history. The midfielder has overtaken club icon Matt Le Tissier as the player to score the most direct free-kicks with an impressive eight.

He also set up Jannik Vestergaard’s opener after 20 minutes at Villa Park, so not only does he have a wand of a right foot, but his eye for an opportunity is second to none in the team. Ward-Prowse now boasts four goalscoring contributions in his last two games, which could be the start of an exciting streak for the 26-year-old.

The Englishman was ever-present under Hasenhuttl last season, establishing himself as one of Southampton’s key players. Indeed, he hasn’t missed a single minute of football this term either and has stepped up to the plate with the captain’s armband too.

With teammate Danny Ings resurrecting his England career due to his phenomenal form, Ward-Prowse might not be far behind. He has appeared twice for his country this year, but with his current rate of performances, it will be impossible to count him out as a midfield contender for the Three Lions.

O Cruzeiro já sabe o que é necessário desembolsar para contratar Matías Pisano para a próxima temporada. Além da dívida de US$ 700 mil (cerca de R$ 3 milhões), referente ao empréstimo de Ernesto Farías, entre 2012 e 2013, a Raposa terá que desembolsar US$ 1,3 milhão (aproximadamente R$ 5 milhões) por 50% dos direitos econômicos do jogador, segundo Héctor Yoyo Maldonado, secretário-geral do Independiente.
