Southampton travel to Tyneside this Sunday to take on Newcastle, in a game that would see Southampton make up further ground on their relegation rivals having beaten Watford before dismissing Norwich by a 2-1 scoreline on Wednesday evening.

Newcastle, despite their decent form of late, are still very much in a relegation battle with Steve Bruce at the helm, so this is a game that has huge significance for Ralph Hasenhuttl and the Saints in their battle against the drop.

We have already outlined a couple of Magpies players who could pose the south coast side some problems on Sunday, and seeing as Southampton have conceded the most goals in the Premier League, Hasenhuttl must get his line-up right in order to prevent more defensive issues.

Here’s the XI that we think the former RB Leipzig manager should deploy at St James’ Park this weekend…

As you can see, there aren’t too many changes from the lineup that beat Watford last week – in fact, there’s only one.

We think that Hasenhuttl must bring Sofiane Boufal into the side in place of Nathan Redmond, following the Moroccan’s impact from the bench against the Hornets after replacing the former Birmingham forward.

Boufal inspired a five-minute turnaround with five successful dribbles and one key pass in just 34 minutes on the field, putting Redmond to shame after he managed just one dribble and no key passes.

We outlined how Allan Saint-Maximin might cause Southampton’s weak full-backs some problems due to his mesmeric dribbling ability – only Lionel Messi, Wilfried Zaha and Eden Hazard average more dribbles than the Frenchman.

While that is very much the case, Hasenhuttl doesn’t really have any other options who are good enough to dislodge Ryan Bertrand and Cedric, so the Austrian will simply have to hope his problem areas are not an issue this Sunday – a report from The Mirror (print version, November 12, page 53) states that a new right-back is a priority in January.

رد أحمد مجاهد رئيس اتحاد الكرة المصري على اتهامه أنه يقف ضد نادي الزمالك من أجل إبعاده عن التتويج بالدوري المصري خلال الموسم الجاري.

وقال أحمد مجاهد في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة ام بي سي مصر: “هذا كلام مُرسل، أريد أن يقول لي أحد موقف معين وأرد عليه، لأن الفترة الماضية شهدت نقد شديد من جماهير القطبين”.

وتابع: “هذا أمر طبيعي في ظل شدة المنافسة وتلاحق المباريات، لكن في النهاية أقول أن اتحاد الكرة حريص على أن يكون معيار العدالة على الجميع”.

وأردف: “الأهلي طلب تأجيل مباراتي وادي دجلة وسيراميكا، ونحن وافقنا، وبيراميدز طلب نفس الأمر، بتأجيل مباراتي الإنتاج الحربي والمقاولون، ولم يتم قبول تأجيل المباراة الأخيرة لأنها ليست بين مواجهتي بيراميدز الإفريقية، الحالتين مختلفتين وليس معنى أن أقبل لأحد طلبه أن أقبل نفس الطلب لناد أخر”.

وعن لماذا يشعر الزمالك دائما أن اتحاد الكرة ضده؟، أجاب: “لا أعرف ولا أتصور من أين جاءت هذه الفكرة، الموضوع الذي قُتل بحثا الأيام الماضية هو إيقاف اللاعبين الشباب، والتي انتهت فترة عقوبتهم بالفعل فيما عدا إمام عاشور”.

واستطرد: “اللغط الذي دار حول وصول الاستئناف من عدمه من الممكن أن يكون سبب في شعورهم بذلك، وأيضا التخوف من التحكيم المصري في مباراة القمة، لا أجد مبرر للحديث عن اتحاد الكرة بهذا المنطلق، وأؤكد أن لدينا أساسيات ونحرص على توفير العدالة”.

وحول المباراة الفاصلة بين شباب الأهلي والزمالك؟، أجاب: “كل طرف يفترض لوائح في ذهنه، عندما تحددت هذه المسابقة هذا الموسم لم تكن هناك لائحة لها، وقلنا أننا سنستكملها من دور واحد بنفس لائحة الدورين”.

وأشار: “لو هناك فريق رفض لعب المباراة الفاصلة، ستطبق عليها اللائحة على حسب الحالة”.

وعن اقتراح إقامة كأس العالم كل عامين؟، أوضح: “هذا كان مُقترح ياسر المسحل رئيس الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم لدراسة إقامة البطولة كل عامين، والاتحاد الدولي وافق على الدراسة”.

واختتم: “نتمنى أن يُدرس جيدا من “فيفا” ليعطي فرصة أكبر لمشاركة المنتخبات، وستزيد مداخيل الاتحادات، وسيتم دراسة هذا المُقترح بناءا على الأجندة الدولية والعامل الاقتصادي”.

Newcastle have been without some key performers at the back this season but those who have come in to replace them have stepped up to the plate in remarkable fashion.

Steve Bruce could have been forgiven for fearing the worst after Jamaal Lascelles was ruled out until January 2020 a few weeks ago and though they lost the following game against Aston Villa they have bounced back empathically.

Federico Fernandez has played a big part in that, as the Argentine has barely put a foot wrong and has conducted himself with composure at the back, which is much-needed with the captain’s absence.

He is working very well alongside Ciaran Clark and fans are beginning to recognise their importance, though perhaps the credit ought to be directed at Bruce for his organisation and motivation of the players.

Regardless, Fernandez is a worthy target of praise considering he has averaged 6.9 clearances per league game this term and kept Lys Mousset quiet against Sheffield United.

Fernandez has worked hard to get into the position he’s in but he may need to work even harder if he is to maintain his place in the team, as Newcastle have several other capable centre-backs who will challenge his place once they are fully fit.

He has proved to Bruce that he can be relied upon though and he is key to Newcastle’s defensive style, as they invite a lot of pressure and balls into the box, which he is capable of dealing with if you look at his clearances stat.

The 30-year-old has now swayed the thinking of some Magpies’ fans too as they doubted him when he first joined, only to become one of their better and more important defenders.

Winning both the league and the Scottish Cup is a great moment in any campaign, but do to it in a centenary season makes it even sweeter, and it goes down as one of the great moments in the history of the club, per Transfermarkt.

Burns was a key part of the squad for 16 years, and made 467 appearances throughout his career with the side, scoring 81 goals along the way, per thecelticwiki. He also returned to the club as manager for three years from 1994-1997 and won one trophy whilst in charge.

Even though he only managed to pick up one piece of silverware whilst in the dugout, he won a crazy amount of trophies whilst playing for the club as he lifted the league title six times as well as five domestic cups.

In the interview, he expresses how good a connection he has with the fan base, as he said, via Celtic Lisboa, “They’re there and they’re always there, and god bless every one of them.”

Fans still appreciate these words as they flocked to the post to praise the midfielder, with one labelling him a “Celtic great”:

أكد حسام البدري، المدير الفني لمنتخب مصر، أن التعادل مع الجابون، مُرضِ، في ظل النقص العددي الذي تعرض له الفراعنة بعد طرد عمر جابر.

وأضاف حسام البدري، خلال لقائه عبر قناة “أون تايم”: “التعادل مُرض في ظل النقص العددي، ولابد أن أشكر اللاعبين على إصرارهم رغم الظروف الصعبة”.

وتابع:” اضطررت أن أجازف وأجري تغييرات للحصول على نتيجة إيجابية، وتوفيق ربنا أن نسجل هدفا في الدقيقة الأخيرة، أؤكد أننا كنا نلعب على الفوز وأكدنا على اللاعبين ذلك لكن ظروف المباراة كانت صعبة، وبدايتنا كانت جيدة”.

واستكمل: “التشكيل كان فنيا، لن أجاوب أي أحد بشكل فردي عن سبب التشكيل، وبالنسبة لعدم مشاركة طارق حامد، كانت مجازفة كبيرة أن أدفع به بعدما لعب المباراة الماضية”.

وأوضح: “كانت هناك بعض الواجبات لحمدي فتحي وتحضيرات في وسط الملعب، كل مباراة لها ظروفها ومعاييرها ولن أدخل في تفاصيل فنية”.

وواصل: “تعجبت من تغيير اللاعب رقم 12 في الجابون لأنه كان محور اللعب، الحمد لله على النتيجة، وفي ظل هذه الظروف أشكر اللاعبين وأهم شئ نقطة التعادل”.

وأردف: “لدينا ثقة في إمكانيات اللاعبين والمدرب عندما يجازف ويخرج بنتيجة جيدة فهذا أمر يسعدني، وأحمد الله على التوفيق والنقطة الهامة””.

واختتم: “بكاري جاساما قال ليٌ بين الشوطين أنه يحترمني، نحن نعرف بعض بشكل كبير لأنه أدار مباريات كثيرة لي، النتيجة بالتأكيد إيجابية وأنتم أيضًا يجب أن تقولوا إنها إيجابية”.
