As Manchester United look to add to the midfield rebuild that they started by signing Manuel Ugarte last summer, INEOS are reportedly battling Liverpool to sign one 2025 target.

Midfield is certainly an area of concern for the Red Devils. Even after welcoming Ugarte in the summer, Erik ten Hag’s side have struggled for control and, therefore, struggled to find results once again. Sitting outside of the Premier League’s top four, questions have already come the way of Ten Hag with the pressure continuing to pile on the Dutchman and INEOS reportedly eyeing options such as former Barcelona boss Xavi.

The midfield legend has been out of a job since leaving Barcelona in the summer, but could yet emerge to become the latest manager tasked with turning things around. Before then, however, the Red Devils could welcome further reinforcements.

According to reports in Spain, INEOS and Man Utd are battling alongside Liverpool in pole position to sign Morten Hjulmand in 2025. The Sporting Club midfielder is now 25 years old and represents a player in his prime who could now step into the Premier League.

Liverpool, of course, are looking to complete their own midfield after missing out on Martin Zubimendi last summer, but it’s United who will be desperate to deny the Reds this time around.

As the two English giants do battle and are at the forefront of the transfer race, it remains to be seen just how much Sporting will demand for their midfielder given that he holds such an integral role at the heart of their side as Ruben Amorim’s captain.

"Intelligent" Hjulmand could complete Man Utd midfield

In a repeat of their deal to sign Bruno Fernandes, who has starred ever since, Manchester United could lure Hjulmand from Sporting to Old Trafford in an attempt to complete their midfield. Standing next to Ugarte and the aforementioned Fernandes, the Dane may well be the missing piece to what has been a frustrating puzzle for Ten Hag.

Amorim – also a reported candidate to replace Ten Hag at Old Trafford – has been among those to praise Hjulmand at Sporting, previously telling reporters after his side defeated Moreirense: “I really liked his showing. He made a lot of tackles and he was very intelligent. He’s going to improve a lot physically.

“He’s going to increase his goal tally because he appears in the right places a lot, and he even hit the post before scoring. He has great ability with the ball, and that’s his main role at Sporting CP. He’s going to grow a lot.”

Now, the Sporting duo now find themselves linking up at Manchester United in what would be an impressive double deal.

وأوضح: “هذا هو الفريق الأكثر اكتمالاً الذي واجهناه حتى الآن، بالطبع لعبنا ضد آرسنال وريال مدريد ومانشستر سيتي لكن يمكن النظر إلى الجودة التي يتمتع بها باريس سان جيرمان، ربما أغنى نادٍ لكنه يتمتع بقدر كبير من الجودة مع مدرب رائع، لقد سمح لهم ذلك باللعب بطريقة ليس من السهل اللعب ضدها، ومعدل العمل لا يصدق”.

After helping Villa to secure promotion in the 2018/19 campaign, scoring six goals and providing eight assists, Grealish scored 14 goals and assisted 16 in two Premier League seasons.

His form convinced Manchester City to splash a then-record British transfer fee of £100m to sign him at the end of the 2020/21 campaign – a year after they had released a player who could have been their next Grealish, Callum O’Hare.

As you can see in the table above, they performed to a similar level in the U21 set-up with the Villans, as they both provided quality by scoring and assisting goals as versatile attacking midfielders, but only Grealish was able to translate that over to the senior side.

O’Hare was never convincing enough on the pitch when given a chance in the first-team, providing zero goals and one assist in nine appearances, and was released on a free transfer in the summer of 2020.

He then racked up 22 goals and 30 assists in 182 appearances for Coventry City in all competitions during a four-year spell with the Sky Blues, before his move to Sheffield United on a free transfer earlier this year.

Capitão do time alternativo e consistente na defesa, Noga pode aproveitar que Rodrigo Caio está lesionado para brigar por espaço com mais chances neste cenário. Já Lázaro, embora tenha tido uma atuação apagada ontem, brilhou na estreia e foi o autor dos gols do triunfo contra a Portuguesa, ganhando ainda mais moral com Paulo Sousa, que o havia elogiado anteriormente.

علق طارق مصطفى المدير الفني لفريق البنك الأهلي، على نتيجة مباراة فريقه أمام غزل المحلة في المباراة التي جمعت بينهما الليلة ضمن منافسات كأس الرابطة المصرية.

وانتهت مباراة البنك الأهلي وغزل المحلة بالتعادل الإيجابي 1-1، في إطار لقاءات الجولة الثانية من كأس الرابطة.

وقال طارق مصطفى في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة أون سبورت: “الحمد لله المباريات كلها صعبة، البنك الأهلي الفريق الوحيد الذي تعب في الفترة الأخيرة سافرنا كثيرًا جدًا”.

وتابع: “البنك الأهلي أكثر فريق سافر، صعب جدًا نلعب في 3 بطولات في وقت واحد، سيكون هناك اجهاد وإرهاق للاعبين وسنقابل مشاكل كثيرة خاصة وأننا في شهر رمضان، لدينا 11 لاعبا أساسيا غائبين للإصابة”.

واختتم: “لدينا طموح آخر أننا نستمر في البطولة وهذا ليس بعيدًا، نريد أن نحقق شيء مختلف ونسير بصورة جيدة”.
