TalkSport pundit Carlton Palmer has claimed that transfer target Declan Rice may join Manchester United if the Red Devils sign Harry Kane.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for the Tottenham Hotspur and England striker in recent times.

After all, when Man Utd played Spurs in the week, their travelling United supporters were even heard singing: “Harry Kane, we’ll see you in June.”

While Kane refused to be drawn on making any major comments when quizzed about the rumours after the game – saying "I heard what they were saying but I'm just focused on this team and trying to finish strongly" – there appears to be the feeling that he may well be on his way to Old Trafford in the summer.

At the same time, West Ham United captain Rice may also be on the move at the end of the campaign – as he holds the ambition of playing in the Champions League.

United may well be able to offer the £60k-per-week England international that level of European football and so could be an enticing prospect to consider.

What's more, Palmer seems to think Rice could follow Kane through the door this summer.

Indeed, while discussing transfers on TalkSport, the pundit said: “If Harry Kane does end up at Manchester United, I think there's a chance that Declan [Rice] might go to Manchester United, and that would be fantastic.”

Would Declan Rice and Harry Kane join Man Utd?

Although the Red Devils do already have Casemiro in the middle of the park, there's potentially plenty of room for Rice too.

After all, Scott McTominay has been heavily linked with an exit; Marcel Sabitzer is only on loan; and 31-year-old Christian Eriksen may not be viewed as a long-term option due to his age.

With that being the case, United may be keen on landing Rice but it remains to be seen if he would opt to join Erik ten Hag and co.

No doubt, what could help persuade him to be more on board with the project would be a move for Kane. After all, Rice is a key member of the England set-up – having starred regularly at the last two major tournaments – and will no doubt appreciate the quality of the Three Lions' all-time record goalscorer.

There's a long way to go before either of these deals are sorted, but it could be an exciting summer for United if the duo are indeed wanted in the upcoming transfer window.

Glasgow Rangers have made an approach to bring West Brom forward Karlan Grant to Ibrox ahead of Michael Beale’s first season in charge.

The Gers look set for a busy summer in the transfer market, with a number of English-based players already linked with a move to Ibrox.

Norwich City midfielder Kieran Dowell could become the first addition of the summer after reportedly reaching a verbal agreement with Rangers, whereas Liverpool’s Leighton Clarkson appears to be another midfield target.

Jack Butland has also been linked with a move north to Glasgow, and it appears as if Grant is another player of interest to Rangers officials.

Labelled as “excellent” by Danny Cowley during his time at Huddersfield Town, Grant, sponsored by Adidas, could well be on the move from The Hawthorns.

According to journalist Darren Witcoop, West Brom will listen to offers for Grant this summer. The forward is attracting interest from sides in the Championship, however, Rangers have made a first move by registering an interest over a potential deal.

An attacking addition appears needed after it was confirmed that Alfredo Morelos will depart over the coming months. Alongside Morelos, Antonio Colak could also be on the way out of Ibrox this summer, which would leave Beale with just Fashion Sakala and Kemar Roofe as centre-forward options.

Therefore, you can see why Rangers have been linked to someone like Grant, who would offer some versatility to Beale’s side as he is able to turn out as a left-winger as well as a centre-forward.

The 23-year-old has scored 58 league goals since the 2018/19 season, however, only three of those have come during the current campaign in 31 appearances and one in 21 in the Premier League back in 2020/21.

He cost The Baggies £15m back in 2020, but the club are now happy for him to leave, showing his decline in recent years. The forward's Transfermarkt valuation has also been decreasing since the end of 2020, but it looks as if this is one to keep an eye on after an approach was made by Rangers.

Ilkay Gundogan's potential move from Manchester City to Barcelona is stalling because a deal can't be reached on the player's wages according to reports in Spain, via Sport Witness.

What is the latest on Ilkay Gundogan's Man City departure?

The midfielder has been with Pep Guardiola's side since the 2016/17 season and has managed 186 Premier League outings for the club during that time. He's claimed four league titles during that time and his team are heading for a fifth this campaign, with the side currently top of the standings.

It could be a nice send-off for the German too, with the player expected to depart the Etihad Stadium this summer. With his contract set to expire, and no new deal agreed to keep him at City, he looks likely to find pastures new when the window opens. Whilst the German himself has previously stated that no decision has been made over his future yet, reports claim he is probably set to head out of the exit door.

In terms of who will snap up the 32-year-old, the club most heavily linked to his signature is Barcelona. The Spanish giants are on the hunt for new midfielders following the news that Sergio Busquets will be bringing his time at the Camp Nou to an end. The Catalans then will be desperate to bring in Gundogan this summer but reports in Spain, via Sport Witness, state that talks are at a standstill because of the player's wages. It mentions that there is "disagreement" over the finances involved in his contract, with what the player wants being too much for Barca to offer currently.

Whilst a deal could still happen then, it looks as though fresh dicsussions are needed in terms of hashing out the terms of a contract with the Spanish giants in order to get a deal done.

Should Man City let Gundogan go?

The midfielder has given plenty to Pep Guardiola's side since arriving at the club seven years ago. He's often led City to victories on his own with his offensive drive and finishing ability, as showcased by him bagging 42 goals during his time there, as well as notching up 15 assists.

Even during the current campaign, when he has featured much less frequently for City, he has shone when given time on the field. The 32-year-old has a WhoScored rating of 7.06 in the Premier League, which puts him within the top ten best performers at the club this year.

Gundogan still has plenty to give then and even Pep Guardiola has previously admitted his admiration for the player. The manager labelled the German as "exceptional," which is high praise from a boss who has not only led some of the best teams in Europe to silverware but has also played for Barcelona himself.

If City do let the German depart, then they will be losing a player who still has a lot left in the tank and can still perform to a high standard most weeks too. It would be a blow for the Etihad-based side but with their financial power, they could certainly find an adequate replacement.

Journalist Charles Watts has claimed that Arsenal could be set for an "unprecedented" summer if they can achieve all their transfer plans in terms of buying and selling players.

The Gunners haven't actually played Champions League football since the 2016/17 season but are guaranteed to finish at least second in the Premier League this time around.

This means they will have a greater need to splash the cash this summer as they will be hoping to be competitive in Europe as well as domestically, having fallen just short in the title race this term.

And with the improved revenue gained from finishing in the top four, the North London club can set their sites on some high-profile names – with West Ham United ace Declan Rice the name on everyone's lips right now.

While discussing all this on his YouTube channel, Watts suggested that this could be the club's busiest summer yet with major players set to come in and depart.

He said: (08:42): "I look at this one, I think it's truly going to be unprecedented at Arsenal.

"If they can sign the players they're looking to sign, they're going to spend, they'll have to spend a huge amount of money – again unprecedented really.

"Just if you want to sign Caicedo and Rice you're going to have to spend near enough £200m to get the pair of them. I don't know if they will or not, but if they want, if they try, that's the sort of money they're going to spend

“And on top of that you've also got to try and sign a fullback, a centre-back, right-sided player. You know, huge money.

"And then get loads of players out as well to bring a lot of that money back in.”

Who will Arsenal sell and buy this summer?

Granit Xhaka looks to be the man first out the door this summer, amid talk of a £13m to Bayer Leverkusen. On top of that, Kieran Tierney, Emile Smith Rowe, Charlie Patino, Nuno Tavares, Sambi Lokonga, Reiss Nelson, Rob Holding, Folarin Balogun, Cedric Soares, Pablo Mari, Nicolas Pepe and more have all been named as potential departures too.

Those wages off the books – combined with transfer fees brought in by any sales – could really add to the club's finances as they look to improve the squad depth.

As mentioned before, Rice will be a prime target and midfielder Moises Caicedo could cost well over £70m as Arsenal bid that much for the player in January only for Brighton to turn it down.

Beyond those two, Watts also mentions the possible desire to sign a few defenders and an attacking player – with Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby rumoured recently in the Evening Standard.

And the thing is that while Southport and Birkdale may be very special, it is not unique. There are many clubs who would welcome first-class counties and all they are looking for is the chance to put on a show.Outground cricket is enjoyed by spectators and appreciated by players. Amid the entirely understandable desire to maximise the revenue from other formats, someone should think a little more about taking the game back to the people who are its lifeblood.

ويسعى الزمالك بعد حل أزمة إيقاف القيد، إلى تدعيم صفوفه بشكل قوي من أجل المنافسة في جميع البطولات القادمة المشارك بها.

يذكر أن الزمالك قد تعاقد مع البرتغالي جوزيه جوميز لتولي تدريب الفريق في المرحلة المقبلة.
